Simmonds Transport are pleased to endorse Biofuel. For the past 12 months their haulage company have been using B100 Biodiesel EN14214 in a 04 MAN TGA 480 Common Rail 6X2 truck in replacement of the usual diesel fuel, and have been extremely pleased with the results. The company noted that whilst running on Biofuel, emissions were reduced and engines were running smoother. In addition, fuel consumption was not affected by the change in fuel type. Simmonds now plan to introduce Biofuel across their entire fleet of vehicles as the preferred fuel of choice.
So, what is Biofuel?
Biofuel is an eco-friendly fuel. It is a renewable energy source and so is not damaging to the environment like traditional fuel. It is produced from vegetable oils, recycled cooking oils and animal fats.
What are the Benefits of Using it?

Increases Engine Life Biofuel is more lubricating than traditional fuels and so the engine life is prolonged.

Fewer Emissions Biofuel contributes almost zero emissions to global warming as it comes from plants. It also greatly reduces other harmful emissions.

Non-Toxic Biofuel is safe to handle and transport as it is biodegradable and non-toxic, in fact it is less toxic than salt!

No engine or storage conversions are required as Biofuel runs in any conventional diesel engine and can be stored in regular fuel tanks.
